The Vancouver Tap Dance Society Board
Vancouver Tap Dance Society Board of Directors
Karen Gram, President
I have been on the board five years. This is my first year as president. I was secretary for two years prior to that. Both my daughters danced with VTDS. My eldest, Yette has now graduated and moved on. My daughter Sophie is a member of TapCo and the Supremes. By profession, I am a journalist with the Vancouver Sun. I live in the same neighbourhood as the Tap Society.
Barbara Stewart, Past Chair
I have been involved with VTDS for the past ten years and the last five as the President. I call myself a Professional Volunteer as I have been with Variety the Children's Charity for over 38 years and have had many positions with Variety including being the first woman Chief Barker. I am also on the Variety International Board. I am still active on other Boards as well and had fun volunteering for the Molson Canadian Hockey House at the Olympics. I have 6 children and 15 grandchildren. I take dance classes and I just love to tap dance! I am very proud to be part of the VTDS. I have seen it grow and become the great studio that it is today.
Bianca Fusco Zanatta, Vice Chair
Maria Littlejohn, Secretary
I am a new board member, willing to take on the secretary position. My husband Martin and I are parents of 3 boys ages 8, 11 and 14. I love the art of dance and my 11 year old son Thomas has been tapping at VTDS for 4 years now. We are fortunate to live in the lovely VTDS neighbourhood! I work downtown at the BC Court of Appeal where I have been for 20 years and am currently a Justice of the Peace and the Deputy Registrar, looking after case scheduling and the judges sitting schedule.
Kathy McGrenera, Member at Large
A newly elected board member at large has a daughter in Jr Tap and is also enjoying the Adult Absolute Beginner class herself. She lives in North Vancouver and has run a Family Child Care in her home for the last 12 years.
