Vancouver Tap Ensemble
was developed by the Vancouver Tap Dance Society. It is created out of a desire to build an avenue for local, professional tap in Vancouver. The dancers share a common vision; they want to stay true to the art form by working with live music and keeping the connection of tap to live world and jazz music.
The Company strives to act as a lightning rod creating collective work in the tap and music communities and further developing audiences for tap dance with innovative choreography that is rich in rhythms and stylistically varied.
